Existing EFP Holders

Step Up to the CEFP

APPA phased out the EFP certificate on April 1, 2019 and only offers the CEFP Certification.  Do you have the EFP Certificate?  What is your next step?

Once a person earns the EFP, the next step should be to attain the Certified Educational Facilities Professional Credential or CEFP.  This is the full certification and to help achieve this milestone, APPA is offering EFP certificate holders a chance to earn the CEFP at no cost.

For a limited time, qualified current Educational Facilities Professional (EFP) certificate holders can register for the CEFP course/exam FREE of charge by contacting Kelly Ostergrant at or by calling 703-542-3835.

Individuals wishing to take the CEFP certification examination must now demonstrate a combined 8 years of education and experience. Previously, a combined 15 years of education and experience were required to take the exam.

Don’t miss out on this excellent opportunity to potentially advance your career and increase your professional growth.  Click on the Qualify for CEFP in the side bar to see if you qualify for the CEFP course and exam to get started!
